During the spring session, the Duma plans to recognize Cryptocurrency as property

The head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Market Anatoly Aksakov is known as a supporter of strict crypto-regulation.

In his opinion, it is necessary not only to control all operations with digital currencies, but also to introduce a special regime for miners. Citizens Mining cryptocurrency should pay taxes, and the state should introduce special energy tariffs for them.

This week, Aksakov said that the State Duma, before the end of the spring session, still expects to approve a bill under which cryptocurrency will be recognized as property. The same document says that if the amount of transactions with digital assets exceeds 600,000 rubles per year, a Russian citizen is obliged to report crypto-transactions to the Federal Tax Service.

The State Duma plans to pass this bill by the end of May, the newspaper Izvestia quoted Anatoly Aksakov as saying.

It should be noted that the same parliamentarian fully supports the ban on the use of cryptocurrencies when paying for goods and services, introduced earlier by the Bank of Russia.
